WoW Warlock Leveling & Quests
Just like any other class the Warlock is able to spend 71 talent points at level 80. These points can be spent into the trees Demonology, Affliction and Destruction. No matter how these points are distributed every talent spec enables the Warlock to deal massive damage from a distance. In addition to that the Warlock commands a companion. While the companion can be selected independently every talent tree favors one of those pets.
An Affliction Warlock usually summons a Fel Hound. Affliction Talents favor damage over time spells and teach the Warlock several new spells to complement his spell arsenal.
Demonology Warlocks call a Fel Guard their companion, a pet learned via one of the later talents within that tree. Talents in the Demonology tree not only empower the Warlock's spell but first and foremost enhance the Warlock's pet, especially those of the Fel Guard. The ultimate Talent allows the Warlock to transform himself into a demon, gaining several new abilities.
The Warlock's Destruction tree improves direct damage spells like Shadowbolt. At the same time the Warlock's Imp gets some strong improvements, making it the favored companion for Destruction Warlocks. The new ultimate talent, Chaos Bolt, is a new, strong direct damage spell.
